Optimize your WordPress development workflow

Local Installs

In order to follow along with the guide, you need to have several software apps installed on your machine.

Note: Since WP Blueprint 1.0 is based on Windows 10 OS, all the apps listed are for Windows.

However, each has a version available for macOS and Unix-based operating systems.

Only PuTTY doesn’t have one, but MacOS and Unix have native command-line SSH clients.

Here is the list of apps that you need to have installed:

  1. Dropbox
  2. Git
  3. GitHub Desktop
  4. PuTTY
  5. VS Code
  6. XAMPP

You can replace VS Code with your favorite IDE editor and replace XAMPP with another LAMP stack, but these are my recommendations and go-to option.
